Help for Homeless Veterans!
What is the Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF)?
The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program rapidly houses US Veterans and their families who are experiencing homelessness and prevents homelessness for those at imminent risk due to a housing crisis in eight counties in the Tampa Bay area. 211 screens eligible individuals and families and connects them with our service partner, St. Vincent De Paul Cares.

How does sSVF work?
SSVF uses the Housing First approach by helping individuals and families access and sustains permanent rental housing as quickly as possible to improve one’s quality of life. Eligible Veterans and their families are provided case management, assistance in obtaining VA and other public benefits, and many more services.
Supportive services are available to eligible Veterans and other members of the household based on an assessment of their needs and individualized housing stability plan. Participation in case management is required to ensure the success of households assisted.
Each household is screened to determine the appropriateness of the program and whether other interventions may better meet the identified needs.
